Join us for Sunday Worship at 10am
Christ Presbyterian Church Lakewood supports a number of missions and outreach programs outside of our walls. Here are descriptions and links to a few of them.
Every 4th Sunday of the month at 2pm a few of us love going to Catered Manor to sing songs with the residents. It’s a ministry that ministers to us too as we all enjoy singing together and oftentimes a lot of exchange of hugs! Come join us! You will be so blessed to be a blessing!
The RV Ministry is an outreach of Christ Presbyterian Church Lakewood in which a team of RVers within the church and others deploy into RV Parks and campgrounds to care for physical and spiritual needs.
Our congregation continues to support the Foster family who are in mission in South Africa. Love Offerings are typically collected each Sunday in November for the support of the Taylor family’s ministry through Good Hope Ministries, South Africa.
We continue to provide donations to the Lakewood First United Methodist Church’s Food Pantry through financial and food donations.
During the Christmas season, we collected donations for the purchase of various farm animals for the Heifer Project. Typically we order around two water buffalo, two llamas, two goats, two sheep, one honey bee hive and four flocks of chickens. All to go toward people who are desperate for food.
Our congregation sends Christmas cards praying for our Service Members as part of the City of Lakewood’s drive to send Christmas cards to members of the Armed Services.
Each January we have a drive to collect new underwear for the homeless and deliver the donations to the Long Beach Rescue Mission.
An annual Lenten project for CPC to help provide clean water to those in need.
An after school, long term academic and emotional support mentoring program where students are supported in working towards improving grades; increase readiness for school success; and improve their social skills. This ministry meets at Christ Presbyterian Church and congregants have often volunteered as mentors.
